Title
Jordan. Amman, lecture on "Community-Based Archaeology: Challenges and Opportunities" by Nizar Al Adarbeh and Jehad Haron at ACOR
Description
The USAID Sustainable Cultural Heritage Through Engagement of Local Communities Project, implemented by ACOR, supported and participated in a number of special events, high-level meetings, lectures, and conferences from 2014 – 2018. Such events provided opportunities to exchange knowledge, develop and present policies and guidelines, plan collaborations, and strengthen the community of practice around Jordan’s heritage. In March 2017, SCHEP Chief of Party Nizar Al Adarbeh and Cultural Heritage Resource Projects Lead Jehad Haron gave a public lecture on "Community-Based Archaeology: Challenges and Opportunities" at ACOR. The presentation reflected on the first two years of USAID SCHEP, and expectations for the following two years.
