Description
Capacity building is an important part of the USAID SCHEP model for promoting the sustainable management of Jordan’s cultural heritage. From 2014 – 2018, SCHEP implemented training programs and workshops in skills related to cultural heritage conservation, management, interpretation, and presentation, for over 300 heritage professionals, recent graduates, local community members, and others. In October 2018, SCHEP partnered with the Madaba Regional Archaeological Museum Project (MRAMP) to organize an Artifact Organization and Display training for employees of the DOA, MRAMP, and the Madaba Institute for Mosaic Art and Restoration (MIMAR). Through this training, participants acquired many new skills and benefited from local and international expertise.
