From June to December of this year, ACOR - The American Center of Research through USAID SCHEP is supporting “Malloul,” a project of the Tajalla for Music and Arts Society in partnership with the Politics and Society Institute.
The " Malloul" project aims to preserve the intangible heritage of Jordanian folk songs from the governorate of Jarash, to revive and spread these songs, and to raise interest and capacity in the local community to transmit this heritage from the elderly who carry it to the younger generation. As part of the program, an inventory of Jarash folk songs is being created, local community members are being trained in technical performance, the "Malloul" cultural and tourism platform for cultural and tourism awareness is being launched.
