Title
Jordan. Madaba, New signage in the Madaba Archaeological Park
Creator
USAID SCHEP
Description
The Madaba Archaeological Park West is a cross section of Madaba’s past and present, including remnants from the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman periods. Here, ACOR USAID SCHEP worked with the Madaba Regional Archaeological Museum Project (MRAMP), a partnership between American, Italian, and Jordanian institutions, to help prepare the site eventually to become home to a regional archaeological museum. In 2020, SCHEP supported the design and installation of a new regional map and timeline sign to be installed in the archaeological park, in addition to repairing two previous SCHEP signs and replacing two signs that were not originally installed with SCHEP support.
