Description
With support from ACOR USAID SCHEP, a team from Institut français du Proche-Orient (Ifpo) conducted an excavation mission at the painted Roman tomb in Bayt Ras in September 2019. Conservation experts from Istituto Superiore per la Conservazione ed il Restauro (ISCR) accompanied the excavation mission to monitor the state of the mural paintings throughout the excavation and help in preserving any finds.
