On the occasion of World Tourism Day on September 27, 2019, ACOR USAID SCHEP supported participatory activities by each of its four affiliated MSEs. World Tourism Day activities took place in Umm alJimal (Hand By Hand Company), Ghawr as Safi (Jordan southern Ghawr Company), Busayra (Busayra Foundation for Cultural Heritage), and Aqaba (Aqabawi). In each location, the affiliated MSE led community awareness activities and cultural tourism experiences such as recycled jewelry making and mosaic creation. Participants were encouraged to take photos with a photo frame designed by SCHEP, highlighting the role of sustainable tourism in raising awareness and promoting economic development.
