Description
From December 16 – 18, 2019, ACOR USAID SCHEP and the Department of Antiquities of Jordan organized a three-day capacity building workshop at ACOR to cap off more than one month of excavations and training at the archaeological site of ‘Ayn Ghazal. During the intensive workshop, 18 participants received training in Applied Excavation Methods in Endangered Sites, Applied Field Techniques for Object Management in Excavations, Neolithic pottery, Research, Studies and Reporting, and Applied Approaches to Site Presentation and Interpretation. Training was given by Dr. Gary Rollefson of Whitman College, Bassem Mahamid, Dr. Adeeb Abu Shmais, Majdi Al Qudah, Nizar Al Adarbeh, Hanadi Al Taher, Jehad Haroun.
