Description
As part of its support for the development of Jordan’s cultural heritage institutions, USAID SCHEP supported a series of intensive workshops to help draft the new Archaeological Heritage Strategy for Jordan. On November 7, 2019, representatives of employees of the Department of Antiquities, Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority, and the American Center of Research gathered with SCHEP team members in the Crowne Plaza Amman to discuss Awareness and Education. This pillar of the strategy is critical, as it outlines how to spread understanding and appreciation of Jordan’s cultural heritage among the people of Jordan and beyond.
