As part of ACOR USAID SCHEP’s efforts to support capacity building and development for Jordanian heritage institutions, the project supported a retreat for employees of the Petra Development & Tourism Regional Authority (PDTRA) in Dead Sea in October of 2019. The two-day retreat allowed heritage professionals from the PDTRA to discuss a variety of important topics, including strategies for building skills and strengthening capacities within the organization, challenges facing their work, and potential solutions or ways forward to address those challenges. The participants also worked on developing plans for the coming months and years, an important aspect of institutional development that will help the PDTRA pursue their mission.
