Description
As part of its support for the development of Jordan’s cultural heritage institutions, USAID SCHEP supported a series of intensive workshops to help draft the new Archaeological Heritage Strategy for Jordan. The second workshop was held in Aqaba from September 25 – 26, and focused on the second pillar: Cultural Resource Management. The sub-pillars discussed were Excavations, Documentation and Surveying, Preservation, Site Management, Risk Management, Interpretation & Presentation, Tourism Development, and World Heritage. Thirty-seven participants attended from the DOA, the MOTA, PDTRA, and ASEZA/WRPA, in addition to the SCHEP team.
